Why I Developed Inpresence™

Inpresence has been a labor of love. I first conceptualized and trademarked Inpresence™ in 2014, the same year I founded Youthcentrix®. Through my work as an occupational therapist and study of educational psychology, I was learning about the science of resilience and the profound effects of toxic stress on human development. That knowledge began to make sense of what I had observed for years: in my clients, their families, my friends, and in my own experiences.

I watched well-meaning people struggle to navigate the lasting effects of past experiences and the pressures of everyday life. Many were unwilling to sit with a clinician and reveal their most vulnerable experiences, others lacked easy to access support for the moments between conversations, when stress surfaced and life kept coming.

I wanted to create something different: a personal, trauma-informed companion people could carry in their pockets. Something that could help them recognize what was happening, find practical and grounded ways to navigate difficult moments, and regain the capacity to respond with intention.

That idea became Inpresence.

No matter how capable our therapists and confidants are, support shouldn't only be available when we make an appointment or ask another for help. It should be accessible in the moments we need it most. And that's exactly what Inpresence™offers. I've committed to a 7-day free trial of your chosen Path because I want those who need the resource to have it in their most vulnerable moment. Let me know what you think. I'd love to hear from you.
